multi generational knowledge guides our work

Indigenous Ancestry?

Today we work on correcting the legislated historic discrimination targeted at Indigenous Women in Canada dating back to the 1876 implementation of the Indian Act and its' subsequent amendments that did not fully and finally remove all of the sex based discrimination until August 15, 2019, with the elimination of the 1957 cutoff.

It's likely that your Indigenous Ancestors despite not being recognized as Status Indians, or having their status revoked, are now able to pass on that Status to subsequent generations.
